Exploring London On A Budget: Our Experience

London has been the very first city we visited back in September 2017. We’ve been saving for almost a year for this trip and planned it just like any holidaymaker would plan it. As you can imagine, we didn’t work with any tight budget, actually the contrary. We’ve enjoyed the experience so much and upon coming back to Malta we couldn’t settle in knowing that our next vacation was maybe one year away. But, what could we do? We couldn’t afford to go any sooner!

That’s how the idea of travelling on a budget came about. Would it make sense to split the budget into smaller amounts, travel more but spend less each time? Could we do it? Travelling on a budget is a skill that develops with time, the more you travel that is. We can vouch for that as after 2017, we visited London four times, each time managing to do it for less. Sure, London is perhaps one of the most expensive cities in Europe but that doesn’t mean that it’s impossible for a budget backpacker to explore.
